Planning a trip to Europe with your wee one?
Make sure you’re prepared with all the necessary documentation to ensure a smooth journey. Here’s what your pet needs:
Microchip: Ensure your pet is microchipped for identification.
Rabies Vaccination: Must be up-to-date and done at least 21 days before travel.
Animal Health Certificate: Required for each trip to the EU or Northern Ireland. Must be obtained within 10 days before entry.
Tapeworm Treatment: Necessary for dogs traveling directly to certain countries like Finland, Ireland, and Malta.
